We tend to subscribe to the philosophy that living a healthy life is all about balance – and we don’t just mean balancing in tree pose during yoga class. We believe in a “whole person” approach to balanced and healthy living, which is one of the reasons all our custom reports include lifestyle recommendations. Because balance means different things for different people, we also believe that different kinds of exercise work best for different people. Maybe the best kind of exercise for your body is zenning out in yoga, and maybe you need to work up a sweat with back-to-back pliés in barre. Since our company is based in Austin, Texas we’ve decided to tell you a little bit about some our favorite local workouts – and maybe they’ll inspire you to get your heart rate up today.
This cozy spot in Austin’s South Lamar neighborhood has classes seven days a week, and goes out of their way to cultivate a community among those who practice there. We particularly enjoy their Yin Yoga + Restorative classes where you’ll be guided through gentle stretches, supportive poses and easy to follow mediations. We promise – you’ll leave feeling both rested and restored.
Pure Barre Austin
If you want to get a killer workout in 45 minutes flat, this is your place. You’ll work muscles you never knew existed – trust us. They say you’ll start to see results after just five classes, but you will feel the workout after your first class. Strength training is an important part of any healthy routine, and this low-impact workout is a great way to build long and lean muscles.
